From Akira Toriyama : Blue Dragon

Ok, before I start just a little request, kindly click on the Google Ads above before you keep on reading. Since Gundam 00 have it's break for this week to make way for New Year's special program, I've decided to make this post to wish you all Happy New Year!!! HaHa joke aside, a you know my weekend been very dull without the Gundam show I'm anticipating so I've decided to go for an anime hunt and I managed to come across this anime. I've known of Blue Dragon for a long time but didn't really give a damn about since I was occupied with other shows, but now since Gundam decided to give me the week off I go back to watch it.

So guess what, it feels great, well it is not like it tells great philosophy like Gundam but I believe to older teens and young adults which is like me, this anime is new, but brings back old memories, yes sweet one. This is due to the fact that the anime feature character design(I wonder if also the setting designs) by the great author of the infamous Dragon Ball series Akira Toriyama, almost every single characters in Blue Dragon reminds us of somebody in our beloved Dragon Ball, and yes, I was never as touched as this in quite a few years.

Thr main protagonist, Shu, resembles Goku a lot(hair especially), and Kluke is like Bulma with orange hair, Jiro is so Trunks, and the main antagonist Nene is very Picollo, yes you heard me, and along with the fantasy world setting, it really does reminds us of Dragon Ball, so for young adults, if you've been missing Dragon Ball too much (it's been ten years since the ending), you can have a shot at this, for new comers, take this chances and see how once a great franchises is like. Now just to say that I'm not bulffing, here is how everybody looks like.

Gundam 00: Episode 12

Ok, before I start just a little request, kindly click on the Google Ads above before you keep on reading. Well we are in episode 12 and allow me a little space to complement that this is the best episode yet, it got a perfect blend of action, politics and character development.

The episode kickstart with a group of men break into a mosque and kidnap the conservative leader of Azadistan, there the conservatives were discussing about rebelling against the reformist of Azadistan who accepted the aid of UN. And we are of to the OP.

After the OP we get a brief background intro of Azadistan and we can see that the riots are starting since the conservatives thinks that the reformists got their leader, so Lockon and Setsuna are on their way to standby.

Scene changed and we can see Graham and the gang are also on their way to Azadistan since Union offer military support to handle the riot(actually they just want the Gundams). At night at the Solar power facility the guards were attacked, by their own men! but no fear, because Dynames got them all from afar, but Ali unleashed a rainstorm of missles and Dynames can't stop them all from hitting, Graham orders his men to go after Ali and he fights the Gundam himself.

Meanwhile we also get to see Exia pawning the rebels at the Capital, Graham received an order to secure the Capital so he was forced to retreat from his fight. But Exia is way of to another city pawning grunts, but no matter how hard Setsuna tries he can't prevent innocents death, which he remarked as "I still can't be Gundam".

Gundam 00: Episode 11

Ok, before I start just a little request, kindly click on the Google Ads above before you keep on reading. Well now it's Episode 11 and Sunrise seems to decided that it is time to dig deep into the character developments. This episode is called "Allelujah" and you know what it means lets get started.

In the prologue, Professor Aifman is discussing the particles emitted by the Gundams, and they seems to figure out the theory behind it, Aifman commented that Aeolia wanted human to explore space in unity, not competing for it.

After the opening we see Tieria blaming Sumeragi for their situations in the last 2 episode and Lockon countered that it is Tieria who make the fatal error of revealing Gundam Nadleeh. back on his bed Allelujah recap his moments with Soma and he is not happy that HRL continues the experiments. After a little struggle and helping words from Halleluyah, he decides to propose the mission to destroy the facility of the experiment.

Sumeragi accepted the proposal and the Gundam Meisters is on their mission again. Allelujah in Kyrios flew in to the facility and ready to attack, but hesitates on killing innocents, with encouragement from Halleluyah he outburst and attacks. after the attack info of the experiments was leaked to the media by Celestial Being.

Well that's just about all of the most important part of the episode the rest minor part are:
-a girl presumably Ming's girlfriend was shown asking Soma to avenge Ming, but all Soma cares about is completing the mission
-Alejandro Corner threatens(well not really)Marina to protect their technicians or Union will stop the aid for Azadistan
-Tieria displays more of his inhuman side with those glowing eyes and he seems to be able to see anyplace in a ship directly in his eyes, a cyborg?!

-Sergei has Soma's babysitter (ok the scientist) arrested for hiding the facts from him.

Well all and all in this episode Allelujah is leaning towards his evil side more, we won't expect to see too much from him for a while.

Gundam 00: Episode 7-10

Ok, before I start just a little request, kindly click on the Google Ads above before you keep on reading. Anyway I'll have short summaries of episode 7 to 10 here so that you won't miss out anything.

Episode 7:

The episode picks up what left behind of episode six Ali was owning Setsuna until Setsuna pissed off and somehow Exia's blade simply gotten stronger, Setsuna tells Ali to open his hatch and Setsuna does so himself, but Lockon come and interfere to force Ali to retreat. Tieria, being the most dedicated Meister, is not happy with Setsuna's actions, and threatens to attack Setsuna should similar situation occurs again, the Meisters continues on their mission and finally AEU surrendered.

Back in their deserted island, the Meisters have some argues over Setsuna's action while they receive reports that there are terrorist threatens Celestial Being to stop whatever they are doing now.

Keypoints:

-Setsuna was mislead by Ali to kill his own family, which makes Setsuna hates him now.
-We know that the Gundam's GN-Drive is extremely costly to built but Tieria still willling to destroy it should the need to protect the Gundam's secret arises
-The terrorist are making random attacks to civilian to force CB to stop.

Episode 8:

This episode is mainly about how the terrorist have affect the society and the Celestial Being's effort to dig them out, and destroy them. And also the meeting of Marina and Setsuna as well as some revelation of Saji's background.

Keypoints:

-Marina was in a moving car while Setsuna was also in a car which moves in the opposite direction as Marina's but guess what, while both of them are speeding, Marina manages to recognize Setsuna's face
-Marina's people destroyed Setsuna's 6 years ago, and Setsuna haven't gone through it. In his angst, he told Marina his Gundam Meister identity
-Saji's parents are dead, and Saji finally realize that world issues will affect him.
-The official intentionally leaked the info of terrorist to CB

Episode 9:

This is a beginning of a 2 parter episode, it is all about Sergei's plans to capture the Gundams. And it actually worked(Sergei got some help from Mr. Luck too), at the end of the episode the battle team of Celestial Being is in very bad situation.

Keypoints:

-we see some interesting military strategies, better see it yourselves
-Gundam Dynames actually misses the targets
-Ptolemaios got no weapon an only relies on GN Field as their ultimate defense
-Saji meets Louise's mother, and she is not happy with him

Episode 10:

The episode picks up what left behind of episode 9, we get to see how our heroes(some regard them as villains), ok Celestial Being got out of the mess with some major character developments.

Keypoints:

-Kyrios was captured, before Halleluyah(Allelujah's split personality) comes out and get Kyrios back and running
-Tieria tries to destroy Kyrios to protect the Gundam's secret, but also gotten into bad positions.
-Gundam Virtue unveils it's second form, Gundam Nadleeh to save the day.
-Halleluyah brutally murdered Ming who rushed in to save Soma, which Halleluyah wanted as sex slave.
-Tieria is not ordinary human, possibly a cyborg
-Sumeragi, Allelujah and Tieria cries in this episode.

Well that's about everything, after you see Gundam playing "God" in all the previous episodes, you get them in tide situation in episode 9 and 10. episode 11 is out though, and I will post as soon as I watch it. For a little reward of reading, here is Gundam Nadleeh.
